Almost all industries have their respective associations. These organizations help to establish guidelines, codes of ethics, and help educate and inform their members. In essence, they help to keep the professionals ... professional. By helping their members keep abreast of the latest laws, news and developments they try to protect the public trust.

Architects have the AIA, lawyers have the ABA, doctors have the AMA, realtors have the NAR. Without even knowing, the professionals that you are already associated with, probably belong to some of these organizations.

It may be a surprise to you, but true professionals in the home remodeling industry, also have their own trade organizations that they may join. It behooves anyone who is considering remodeling on their home, to seek out these types of professionals, rather than some "johnny come lately".

By no means is this the only qualification one would desire in hiring a remodeling company, but it is a start. A good one at that!
